These Garfield Holiday Specials were first released on television during the 1980s when my children were all still living at home. They are excellant entertainment and I still love to watch them. Garfield's films have a bit of my favorite characteristic ...

This page about a Christmas special or an episode from a television series with a Christmas theme is in need of a longer synopsis. Well I am a 26 year old male, and I used to watch all of the holiday specials on T.V. Growing up, I was always a huge Garfield fan and I have carried that fanhood into my adult years. I was thrilled when I found this DVD for sale on Ebay, and bought it as soon as I saw it.
When it arrived I set aside some time to watch it with my 3 step children . We made popcorn and watched Garfield Halloween and The Great Pumpkin, and they seemed to enjoy it as much as I did at that age. I think this tradition will carry over to another generation. If your thinking about buying this dvd you probably have a story similar to mine.

While Jon is inside shopping, Garfield runs into Arlene, who is carrying blankets and a small sack of food. She tells him that they're for some abandoned animals under the railway station, and Garfield proceeds to tell her about his plans, mostly eating and unwrapping gifts. Arlene isn't impressed by this, leaves, and questions whether or not Garfield knows the spirit of Christmas. He guesses that it's about eating and opening presents, and Arlene elaborates that there's more.
Home for the Holidays is the 1stUS/EU episode of Season 2 of The Garfield Show and the 53rd US/EU episode overall.
"depth", meaning that there are things happening that take several viewings to notice. For example, if you have this disk watch carefully the skull-and-crossbones on Garfields hat when he is startled by the old man in the haunted house (in Garfield's Halloween Special). I used to own this disk but it became lost, so of course I had to buy another I recommend it to everyone. As Garfield helps the stray animals in the trainyard, Jon and Liz try to celebrate the holidays together with their families. Home for the Holidays Part 2 is the fifty-fourthUS/EU episode from the second season of The Garfield Show.
